Richlife enriched with 3 International Quality Accolades
Richlife Dairies Limited, a pioneer in the manufacture of dairy and fruit products in Sri Lanka received three ISO Quality certifications for the company's manufacturing processes recently, a company spokesperson said. The company obtained ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management Systems Certification, ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems Certification and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Certification. In addition to these international certifications, the company's fruit product range has received SLS product quality certifications from Sri Lanka Standards Institution providing assurance for quality to its consumers.
Richlife Dairies Limited, a BOI approved venture, was incorporated in the year 1995. It was the first company in Sri Lanka to manufacture Ultra High Temperature (UHT) treated, shelf stable "Tetra Pak" packaged food products. The Ministry of Industries under the development program of "Projects Utilizing Advanced Technology" recommended the venture and was aimed to cater to the ever-increasing demand for shelf stable, healthy, nutritious natural food and beverages.
Richlife Dairies introduce a new pack of Full Cream Fresh Milk enriched with vitamin A & D
Richlife Dairies Limited, pioneers in Sri Lanka's dairy and fruit based consumer products, introduced a new entrant to its dairy product range recently. The new Richlife Full Cream Fresh Milk is enriched with Vitamins A & D and was launched in an informative pack after conducting extensive research into the increasing number of people who are affected with the Vitamin deficiency.
The new full cream fresh milk pack was launched with the intention of promoting nutritious fresh milk consumption among the general public. The vitamins used in the production of Richlife Full Cream Fresh Milk are provided by DSM Nutritional Products – the world's largest and leading vitamin provider. Furthermore, Richlife Full Cream Fresh milk contains 100% goodness and richness of natural fresh cow's milk, hygienically collected from locally reared cattle from across the country, living in small herds, fed with natural fodder and taken genuine care by our own dairy farmers. The full cream milk contains 3.5% fat, hence not only it is nutritional but also preserves the creamy taste.
The company has also introduced a new out look to the pack with the launch of its nutritious fresh milk that provides precious information about the benefits of fresh milk consumption to educate the consumer further.

Richlife initiates dairy development for higher quality fresh milk
Richlife Dairies Limited, the premier Sri Lankan dairy and fruit based consumer products manufacturer recently initiated a nationwide ‘Fresh Milk and Dairy Development Programme’ to assist Sri-Lankan dairy farmers gain new knowledge and expertise in modern technology. The main objective of this programme is to elevate the freshness and quality of fresh cow’s milk collected across the country. In addition to providing Richlife’s own technical expertise, this unique programme presented the expert knowledge of Hayleys Agro Limited and the valuable contributions of Divisional Veterinary practitioners in respective districts. It is designed to increase the knowledge and standards of dairy farming by way of interactive seminars and workshops. Richlife Dairies has planned to roll out this programme to cover all provinces including the northern and the eastern provinces.
The ‘Fresh Milk & Dairy Development Programme’ was launched recently in the western province at Kirindiwela with the participation of over 200 dairy farmers. At this programme, the latest techniques and technologies on how to gain the better yield of fresh milk was disseminated by Veterinarian, Dr. Ishan Weerasinghe and Pharmacist Mr. Priyantha Sahabandu of the Livestock Development Unit of Hayleys Agro Limited. In addition, the Livestock Development Instructors of the district Mr. K J M P Kothalawala (Biyagama) and Mr. M D Siriwardena (Nittambuwa) also made valuable contributions to uplift the knowledge of the participant farmers.
